Our Golf in Ceylon Trip will give you a mix of Sri Lanka’s cultural and natural heritage with visits to the famed Sigiriya Rock Fortress - referred to by some as the eighth wonder of the world, plus a visit to the Minneriya National Park to see Sri Lanka’s majestic elephant herds. In addition, you will also catch a glimpse of Sri Lanka’s natural wealth with visits to see first-hand how its famed Ceylon Tea is produced, along with short stops at its lush spice gardens, and gem museums.

With an experienced English speaking personal guide at your side you will travel in comfort in either a luxury car, van, mini coach or tour bus at your own pace.

Day 1 : Arrival (Check into beach hotel in Negombo)
Day 2 : Travel to Kandy (Explore Elephant Orphanage, Spice and Gems)
Day 3 : Golf at Victoriya Golf Club – Ranked number 1 in Sri Lanka
Day 4 : Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and visit Minneriya National Park
Day 5 : Travel to Nuwara Eliya (Explore a tea factory)
Day 6 : Golf at Nuwara Eliya Golf Club – Ranked number 3 in Sri Lanka
Day 7 : Travel to Clombo
Day 8 : Golf at Royal Colombo Golf Club – Ranked number 2 in Sri Lanka
Day 9 : Depature

Daily Itinerary

Day 1

Negombo

On arrival you will be met and driven to Negombo and check into beach hotel where you will stay for one night in Negombo. Spend the afternoon at leisure in beach.

Day 2 & 3

Kandy

Drive to Kandy, on the way visit to Elephant orphanage at Pinawela. Evening visit to Temple of the Tooth of Relic of the Lord Buddha is enshrined and Cultural show.

Next day Golfing at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort has a testing course which was voted ‘Best Course in Asia 2005’ by Asian Golf Monthly and ranked in the ‘Top 100 Most Beautiful Courses’ by Golf Digest. And if anyone interested in Buddhism, there are several interesting temple visits can be arranged.

If any interest in Fauna visit to Peradeniya Botanical gardens can be arranged.

Sigiriya & Minnariya National Park

Nuwara Eliya

Early morning, catch the train from Kandy to Nanu-Oya, a railway station 10km from Nuwara Eliya. This journey is breath-taking as it takes you through the tea country along one of the world’s most spectacular railways.

Your driver, with your clubs and luggage, will meet at the station and take you to a Hotel in Nuwara Eliya, located adjoining the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club where you will spend two nights.

Colombo
